Focus On:
- Describe the scope of global business enterprise

Developing a Business Plan
How to develop a business plan for a small business start-up or expansion that can be submitted to a financial institution or used for implementation. Emphasis on importance of the plan, components, format and considerations.
Focus On:
Design of a business plan (including the need for one, and the basic structure)
- Outline a Business Plan specifically designed for small to mid –sized businesses
- Discuss bank loans and other sources of revenues
- Design a comparative balance sheet and discuss how to analyze a column chart
E – Commerce Marketing
Course design to explore electronic tools utilized in marketing; focus on marketing communications in developing customer relationships with businesses.

Advertising & Sales Promotion

- Establish promotional strategies, goals and objectives within budget constraint and regulatory agencies

Marketing Research & Strategies
This course is designed for practical experiences in analyzing marketing studies using data-driven decision-making processes. This includes interrelationships among marketing price, place, promotion and product responsibility.
Focus On:
- Analyze marketing studies employing the problem-solving process
- Utilize marketing research techniques to implement competitive marketing decisions
- Demonstrate market knowledge

Internet/Web Page Development
This course is designed to give instructions in the use of the Internet concepts and the introduction to web site development. Overviews Facebook, Blogs and constant contact.
Focus On:
- Identify basic Internet concepts and terminology
- Use electronic communication methods
- Collect and evaluate research data using the internet
Web Site Creation I
Web site creation with graphic elements. Includes use of Web authoring software and study of websites and browsers.
Focus On:
- Identify how the Internet functions with specific attention to the World Wide Web and file transfer

Web Site Creation II
Course is designed to publish, design and layout techniques for websites.
Focus On:
- Edit web pages and design

Introduction to Digital Media
A survey of the theories, elements, and hardware/software components of digital media. It will emphasize on conceptualizing and producing digital media presentations.
Focus On:
- Utilize the elements and hardware/software components of digital media

Digital Media Authoring
This course is designed to plan, develop and evaluate a multimedia project using digital authoring software. It will emphasize on interactive design and user interface issues. Develop streaming web-based multimedia presentations including animation, sound and graphics.
Focus On:
- Discuss the user interface, features, and techniques required to use software elements
- Produce a live functioning project with text, images, sound and interactive internal and external links
Introduction to Supervision
Supervisory tasks, leadership and motivational skills, communication processes, organizational design and effective solution strategies
Focus On:
- Explain the various theories and processes of supervision
- Differentiate leadership styles; explain motivational techniques
- Cite examples of how motivational techniques can be used by a supervisor in a working environment

The course is designed to explain the role of the supervisor. Includes managerial functions as applied to leadership, counseling, motivation and human relations skills.

Leadership Skills for Supervisors /Managers

Team Building in the Workplace

Teams and Consensus Building

Accounting and Contract Management
Gain an understanding of basic accounting concepts and how they apply to small and mid-sized businesses using a team approach to cost management. Management teams must anticipate, monitor and control the various components of every job. Beginning with an introduction to accounting, learn cost accounting principles and applications.

- Examine profit and loss statements, cash flow evaluation, revenue projection, job management and closeouts

Project Management

Effective Negotiation Strategies
Anyone negotiating with others who have strong opinions knows how difficult it can be to reach a mutually beneficial resolution. Through the use of skill-building exercises, case studies and simulations, this course will address the negotiations model and effective strategies for win – win solutions.

- Examine the interest-based negotiation model through practical and theoretical perspectives
- Focus on the interest-based process to address the different values, priorities and goals of each party

Developing and Submitting Proposals and Bids
Basic process of organizing and operating a building or contracting business.
